SEVEN COUPLES ENJOY THEIR MOST GUILTY PLEASURES,
ON MONDAY’S “DANCING WITH THE STARS” ON ABC
HANSON Performs Live in a “DWTS” Monday First
“Episode 1206″ – “Dancing with the Stars” celebrates Guilty Pleasures Night as each of the seven remaining couples compete — with either a latin or ballroom style they have yet to perform — set to the tunes of some of their favorite musical “guilty pleasures.” Monday night’s show also features the first-ever Monday night performance by a live band when pop music sensations HANSON sing their fan favorite, “MmmBop,” MONDAY, APRIL 25 (8:00-9:31 p.m., ET) on The ABC Television Network.
Native sons of Tulsa, Oklahoma, HANSON have been making their soul-inspired brand of American pop-rock & roll for nearly two decades. They recently released their fifth studio album, “Shout It Out,” on their label 3CG Records. The album was produced and written exclusively by the band and augmented with special guests Funk Brothers bassist Bob Babbitt and famed horn arranger Jerry Hey. Together the three brothers have received multiple Grammy nominations (drummer Zac is the youngest nominated songwriter in history), headlined at venues from Carnegie Hall to The Hollywood Bowl, made world records for the loudest concert audience in history (chronicled in the documentary film “Strong Enough to Break”) and formed their own independent record company, 3CG Records. Simultaneously with the launch of their 2007 album, “The Walk,” they championed calls for action in humanitarian efforts, galvanizing tens of thousands of people to participate in barefoot one-mile walks to fight HIV/AIDS and extreme poverty in sub-Saharan Africa. They’re committed to their live concert experience, with special events like their sold out five-night stand in NYC, featuring each of their albums performed in their entirety, culminating with the debut of “Shout It Out” live.
The seven remaining couples are:
* KIRSTIE ALLEY, television and movie star, and MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY
* CHRIS JERICHO, WWE star, with two-time champ CHERYL BURKE
* CHELSEA KANE, Disney star, and two-time champ MARK BALLAS
* RALPH MACCHIO, movie star, and KARINA SMIRNOFF
* ROMEO, rapper and actor, teamed up with CHELSIE HIGHTOWER

The Fifth Couple is Eliminated on “Dancing with the Stars The Results Show”
Tuesday, October 19
“Episode 1105/1105A” – This week on “Dancing with the Stars,” it’s TV theme night, with eight remaining couple doing the Quickstep, Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot and Jive to iconic theme songs from such television series as “Friends,” “Bewitched,” “The Brady Bunch” and more, on MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
On Tuesday, the fifth couple to be eliminated this season will be sent home on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.
Also on Tuesday’s Results Show, red-hot pop singing sensation Jason Derulo will perform his platinum single “In My Head,” and a contemporary version of the classic song “Georgia on My Mind.” Derulo recently embarked on his first tour of the U.S. since his six-week stint on the road with Lady Gaga on her sold-out “Monster Ball” tour of North America in January 2010. The first artist signed to Warner Bros. Records’ joint venture with Beluga Heights, Derulo is touring throughout the Fall 2010 in support of his self-titled debut album, produced by veteran songwriter and hitmaker J.R. Rotem (Sean Kingston, Rihanna, Leona Lewis). The album has spawned three hit singles and established the Miami native as the breakout star of 2010. The triple-platinum “Whatcha Say” (which spent four consecutive weeks atop the Pop chart), and the platinum “In My Head,” made Derulo the first male solo artist to score consecutive No. 1′s on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the chart’s 17-year-history with his first two entries. “Whatcha Say,” which climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Rhythmic, and Pop charts, has sold five million copies, while Derulo’s second single, “In My Head,” has sold more than three million copies, both worldwide, to date. His third single “Ridin’ Solo,” has been certified platinum in the U.S., while its accompanying video has earned more than 17 million views on YouTube. Derulo has sold over 10 million singles and 600,000 albums worldwide. Collectively, his videos have racked up more than 200 million views on YouTube, making Derulo the channel’s 20th Most Viewed Musician of all time. Derulo has also been nominated for three 2010 Teen Choice Awards in the music category, including the highly coveted “Choice Music: Breakout Artist – Male.” “In My Head” has been nominated for “Choice Music: R&B Track,” while the album has been nominated for “Choice Music: Album – R&B.”
Also on Tuesday, Latin singing sensation, Shakira, is set to perform her newest single “Loca.” Shakira’s (Epic Records) global hit “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” has become the best-selling World Cup song in history. “Waka Waka” will be available on her forthcoming album Sale el Sol/The Sun Comes Out, which is scheduled to be released on October 19th. After selling an astounding two million singles, “Waka Waka” is the biggest World Cup song ever released, however its success goes far beyond its popularity as a song, the song and accompanying dance has become a cultural and viral phenomenon. The official video for “Waka Waka” has seen over 170 million YouTube hits making it the #4 most watched video of all time and the #3 most watched music video. Including unofficial “Waka Waka” videos, the total cumulative views are over 350 million. The track was also the soundtrack to Shakira’s hugely successful 1Goal campaign in which Shakira devised the now-famed “Waka Waka” dance and tasked her fans around the world to “dance for 1Goal” and upload their “Waka Dance” videos to spread the word for education. Fans in overwhelming numbers made videos and uploaded them to YouTube with flash-mobs popping up across the world – together gathering more than 400 million views and helping to promote 1Goal’s campaign for universal education. On the heels of the momentous success of “Waka Waka,” Shakira is set to release her new single “Loca” in Spanish and English featuring UK phenomenon Dizzee Rascal and Dominican hip-hop artist El Cata (on the English and Spanish respectively). Recorded in the Dominican Republic, Shakira brings her signature fusion of musical identities to this production of “Loca” by blending the horn-heavy elements of meringue with a synthesis of techno percussions laid out to a dance back beat. “Loca” is Shakira’s interpretation of El Cata’s song “Loca Con Su Tiguere.” For the “Loca” video, Shakira took to the streets of Barcelona, with Dizzee Rascal and a handheld camera, as the backdrop for “Loca.” In an attempt to capture the true interpretation of the song, Shakira opted to go away from the traditional big production music video to portray a spirited, fun-filled day being ‘loca’ in the streets with the people of Barcelona.
By evening’s end, one couple will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes on dances performed on Monday’s performance show. Who among the following eight teams will be next to leave the ballroom floor?
* BRANDY, actress and singer, and partner MAKSIM CHMERKOVSKIY.

NEW ABC COMEDY “BETTER WITH YOU” INTRODUCES THREE DIFFERENT COUPLES IN A SINGLE FAMILY AT VARIOUS STAGES IN THEIR ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS, PREMIERES SEPTEMBER 22 ON ABC
September 3, 2010 by J!-ENT · Leave a Comment
From “Friends” producer Shana Goldberg-Meehan comes “Better with You,” a comedy about a family with three different couples at various stages in their romantic relationships, premiering WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network. There’s Maddie, a lawyer, and Ben, a hotel manager, two career-oriented people who are head-over-heels in love. Both in their 30s, they’ve been together for nine years but never felt the need to get married. Then there’s Mia, Maddie’s younger sister, a free spirit and creator of a paperless web invitation company who is in a very passionate seven-and-a-half-week-old relationship with Casey, a musician in an avant-garde metal band. Last but not least, there are the girls’ parents, Vicky and Joel, who’ve been married for 35 years. Like Mia, they’ve adopted a carpe diem sort of philosophy, and at this stage in their lives don’t feel the need to take things too seriously. Note: This program will repeat Fri., Sept. 24 at 8:30 p.m., ET.
In the premiere episode, “Pilot,” Mia invites Maddie and Ben to meet Casey, and they think they’re meeting just another in a long line of boyfriends. But Maddie realizes how serious things actually are when Mia and Casey excitedly announce that they’re engaged. Surprised by the news, Maddie feels like her little sister has leapfrogged over her — jumping ahead of her in some major, life-changing way — and sees the light it shines on her own life choices. But reluctant to be a negative voice, she resolves to be supportive and let her parents, the critical Vicky and Joel, be the ones to object when the time comes. But when Mia tells them that she and Casey are getting married, Vicky and Joel greet the news with celebration, much to Mia’s delight and Maddie’s surprise. Things get even more complicated for Maddie when it turns out that Casey has shared something with Ben but not with her, that Mia is pregnant! Maddie and Ben have been together a long time, and the relationship they have works, but they’ll come to learn that there may be value in Mia and Casey’s impulsiveness and spontaneity. And both sisters could surely learn something about relationships from their long-married parents.
“Better with You” stars JoAnna Garcia as Mia, Jennifer Finnigan as Maddie, Josh Cooke as Ben, Jake Lacy as Casey, with Kurt Fuller as Joel and Debra Jo Rupp as Vicky.
Guest starring in “Pilot” are Tiya Sircar as Reena and Jerrika Hinton as saleswoman. The episode was written by Shana Goldberg-Meehan and directed by James Burrows.
“Better with You” is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Silver and Gold Productions and Warner Bros. Television.
