For those who have been keeping up-to-date with “LEGO NINJAGO”, the ninja series line of LEGO toys, Kai is from the Red Ninja of Fire. He happens to be stubborn and hot-headed, but his intentions are good.
But he’s trying to find the four elemental blades with the other ninjas in hopes of awakening the mythical golden mech.
And at retail one can find “LEGO NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu – Kai’s Fire Mech (70500)” at retail or online for around $7.99 and for a cheaper LEGO set, you get your dollar’s worth as you get two LEGO Minifigures and a mech!
Let’s begin with the Minifigure as Kai can be seen with his red ninja hood, while wearing a really nicely detailed outfit which is printed on both sides.
Kai’s red and black outfit with the logo showing in the back is nicely done. Meanwhile, the enemy is also nicely detailed with its menacing face, detailed outfit which is also on both printed on both sides. He comes with arrows and a crossbow. The legs are slightly short and he comes with a detailed red hat.
But the fact that you get two figures is a great value as these would have cost $10 alone.
As for the mech, I have to admit that this mech looks so awesome and it’s easy to build at under 30-minutes. I like how one arm has a blaster, while the other has a hand that can grip on to a sword or an enemy. The overall look of the mech looks very awesome thanks to its gold stickers on the front of the mech. The swords on top add to the uniqueness of the mech and of course, you have Kai seated in the middle to control the mech.
While the backside doesn’t look that great, you do get a sticker on the rear side.
And when you are all done, you have a few extra pieces left over.
Overall, the “LEGO NINJAGO: Masters of Spinjitzu – Kai’s Fire Mech (70500)” is a very cool set!
Not only do you get a mecha that looks cool and has cool accessories but you also get two Minifigures and all three for $7.99-$9.99. That’s a wonderful deal and definitely more bang for your buck!
But if you are a “LEGO NINJAGO” fan, it’s awesome to see such an impressive set for under $10.
