Back in 2012, LEGO released the LEGO – Minifigure Beach Accessory Pack (850449) which consists of LEGO Surfer (Series 2), LEGO Hula Dancer (Series 3) and LEGO Surfer Girl (Series 4).

This is great set for those who are looking for more LEGO Surfers but I also found it more suitable as extra LEGO Minifigures for the LEGO CREATOR Seaside House (7346).

The set comes with each of the surfers pre-assembled and comes with a barbecue pit with two drumsticks, a table with two bananas, a seashell and plants with parrot.

The LEGO Surfer featured the first-ever printed LEGO Surfboard, while the Hula Dancer has a special skirt with cloth material, comes with coconut marangas and her hair is the first time to feature a printed decoration.

While the figures have no printing on the back, it is one of the first LEGO minifigures that were released via “mystery polybag” and if you had to purchase these separately on eBAY, you would end up spending probably $18 or more.  While the set has been retired, you can find the set for around $20, which is more than it was released for, but considering the figures are expensive and collectable these days, $20-$22 is a good price (anything lower than that is even a greater price) if you see it online.

While the accessories are quite basic, I have to say the grill was pretty cool with its two knives which can attach to the side, the flame on the right and the two drumsticks.  The rock with bushes is a nice touch, especially with the parrot and seashell was a cool addition and you get a table with two bananas.

As a surfer and an AFOL (Adult Fan of LEGO), I try to collect anything surf-themed.  But my primary purpose of purchasing this accessory pack was because I didn’t want to spent a whole lot in purchasing the three LEGO minifigures online as that would cost more than this entire set.

The other reason is that the LEGO Surfer is possibly the best and more appropriate looking surfer released from LEGO thus far with the hair, board shorts and surfboard and felt it goes along better with the LEGO CREATOR Seaside House (7346).

But for those wanting a more surf-themed setup and need more surfers, then I can easily recommend the LEGO – Minifigure Beach Accessory Pack.  Especially if you can find it under $22!
