The LEGO CREATOR – Limited Edition 2014 set is definitely a wonderful winter-themed set which was obtained during the Brick Friday-Black Friday week and was not for sale. I could imagine this set going for a lot of money on online auction sites but hopefully with weeks still left before Christmas, this LE set will be offered again soon. A fun and great winter set and awesome LEGO SHOP freebie. Recommended!

THE REVIEW:

With every holiday, we are treated with a seasonal release from LEGO if you spend a certain amount of money.

For 2014, during the holidays, LEGO SHOP offered the LEGO CREATOR – Limited Edition 2014 holiday sled release if you spent $99 and more.

A set with only 129 pieces, it’s no doubt one of my favorite seasonal sets to be released by LEGO.

You get two child figures and a set which includes a sled and a slide which works perfectly.  You get two snowballs, two hockey sticks and a puck, and a lamp with Christmas decoration.

The set comes with two child figures which is always a great addition for collectors who need more children LEGO minifigures (if anything, more for the legs).  The set is also quite awesome by the parts offered. For the 40107 set features a lot of clear peaces for the slide and translucent blue pieces for the ice hockey.

It sounds quite simplistic and it may only take a half hour to build but it’s no doubt one of the funnest seasonal playsets that I have built that will easily go together with other Christmas/winter LEGO sets (with the exception of Santa’s Workshop)

In fact, I loved how it fit with the Winter Village Market.  I have it going right out to the side of the sales booth next to the Carousel.

The LEGO CREATOR – Limited Edition 2014 which I tend to call the LEGO Christmas sled set was definitely one of the coolest collectables offered by LEGO SHOP.  While past offerings were very cool and demonstrated a more Christmassy feel to the set, this one is more about winter time during the holidays and children having fun.

Also, when you’re all done, you’re left with a good number of parts to be used as backups or used for other sets.

But if there was one thing I loved about this fun LEGO playset is the fact that it’s a winter theme that works very well with LEGO’s other winter offerings and for me, it automatically enhances the Winter Village Market.

Overall, the LEGO CREATOR – Limited Edition 2014 set is definitely a wonderful winter-themed set which was obtained during the Brick Friday-Black Friday week and was not for sale.  I could imagine this set going for a lot of money on online auction sites but hopefully with weeks still left before Christmas, this LE set will be offered again soon.

A fun and great winter set and awesome LEGO SHOP freebie. Recommended!
