The LEGO Arctic Snowmobile has come a long way since 2000. Back then, you got a simplistic snowmobile with the Scooter character and while it did cost only $1.99, when put together with the LEGO CITY – Arctic Snowmobile (60032), this 2013-2014 version looks sleeker, cooler and comes with much better pieces and an awesome looking LEGO Minifigure.

THE REVIEW:

Back in 2000, LEGO created their Arctic theme for LEGO TOWN.  With the original series featuring  Captain Ross and team, the Arctic theme was resurrected in 2003 and would focus larger parts to target younger LEGO fans.

As the original theme was the Arctic team pursuing meteors that have hit the arctic and in the past, had meteors which had alien creatures or scorpions, this newer version for 2013-2014 would have crystals.

With the recent LEGO CITY -Arctic releases, orange is the prevailing color and a good number of sets have been released in retail.  But for those who are budget conscious and are looking for an arctic themed LEGO set that is inexpensive, the LEGO CITY – Artic Snowmobile (60032) is only $6.99, can be found at major retail stores and for its cheaper price, definitely a great stocking stuffer for the holidays or for LEGO fans wanting something cheap via an impulse LEGO set.

This is probably one of the coolest $6.99 LEGO purchases out there in retail at the moment.  For one, you get a snowmobile, which is different from the banal motorcycle or jet ski, you get snowmobile with a detachable sled with its chain, plus a huge ice block with a crystal inside.

The set itself took me less than a half hour to create and there are no stickers to put on.  So, this is a very simple LEGO set for children.

The whole aesthetic of the Arctic Snowmobile looks great with the orange and dark gray and at first, I felt that maybe I wouldn’t like this set all that much but now, it’s become one of my favorite $6.99 sets to find at retail because you get so much for the money.  To the point that it actually inspires me to purchase more of the LEGO CITY Arctic sets.

The LEGO Minifigure who I have given the name as “Mr. Smiley” because the enormous grin that he has, is a very cool figure as the outfit is rather cool with its orange and dark blue pants and hood.  The jacket features printing on both sides and I just felt the overall look and design of the Minifigure was very cool an has much better detail than past LEGO Arctic Minifigures.

It would have been very cool if a hairpiece was added, for those who prefer not want the Minifigure having the hood on, but for the most part, this is a very awesome LEGO Minifigure!

The LEGO Arctic Snowmobile has come a long way since 2000.

It also happens to be one of the more cheaper LEGO releases at retail in the moment and at $6.99 it not only makes a great present for the children or the young at heart, but definitely shows you how cool the LEGO Arctic theme is and definitely worth checking out!

A fantastic under $7 release from LEGO!
