Find out what happens in the final volume 72 of Masashi Kishimoto’s “Naruto”!

What is “Naruto” all about?

The popular manga series “Naruto” has been going strong since its debut in Shueisha back in 1999 via “Weekly Shonen Jump” magazine.

The manga by Masashi Kishimoto is about a young ninja named Naruto Uzamaki, a ninja of the Konoha leaf village who grew up facing prejudiced within his fellow ninjas because the evil nine-tailed fox was sealed inside him. But throughout the series, we have seen how Naruto is a kind-hearted boy who has worked hard in protecting his friends and staying true to his word with the goal of someday becoming the next Hokage of the village.

In the beginning, Naruto was part of Team Kakashi, alongside Sasuke Uchiha and Sakura Haruno and as a team, have grown up together taking on missions and also, joining with other teams of Team Konoha as well as other villages in taking on other major missions as well.

But now years have passed since those earlier years of Team Kakashi and Naruto and his friends are much older and his teammate Sasuke has left the village to pursue his brother Itachi for revenge of killing everyone of the Uchiha clan but worst of all, Sasuke is in search of the traitor of the Konoha village, the evil Orochimaru, in order to obtain more power.

During Naruto’s last confrontation with Sasuke, it appears that a black evil curse has consumed him. But as a promise to his teammate Sakura, Naruto will do what it takes to bring Sasuke back despite whether or not Sasuke has become evil.

What has happened in the last volumes of “Naruto” so far?

The Great Ninja War is now over but just when you think that peace is coming to the world, Sasuke declares that he will destroy the world and reform a new one in order to cast off the darkness of the past and become the one true darkness.  And to accomplish that, he must cut Naruto down.

For over a decade, we have read the adventures of Naruto, his rivalry with Sasuke and doing what he can to bring him back home.

The final issue of “Naruto” is here… Naruto Uzumaki vs. Sasuke Uchiha.  Who will be victorious?

Plus a glimpse into the future of Naruto and friends.

For the longest time, many of us have followed the adventures of Naruto and friends.

We have read and watched incredible battles, touching storylines but also the rivalry and friendship between Naruto and Sasuke.

Everything has culminated into this final volume which pits Naruto vs. Sasuke.  Naruto who is trying to protect the world and his friends.  Sasuke who is determined to reform the world, become the one true darkness and to do that, he must kill Naruto.

A final battle between two powerful ninjas who grew up together and now, are in the greatest battle of their lives.

And that’s all I’m going to mention about that battle because with this being the final volume.  I’m not going to spoil it for anyone.

Meanwhile, for a touching conclusion to the manga series, Masashi Kishimoto also includes a final chapter that goes into the future and seeing everyone as adults and some also having their own children.

And once again, I’ll leave it at that as the final chapter will no doubt leave a smile on the faces for long time readers of “Naruto”.

Another fantastic action-packed and final volume, Masashi Kishimoto’s artwork and his fluidity of keeping the action ongoing but managing to showcase as many characters as possible, left me captivated.   And it’s hard to believe that with vol. 72, this ends the long running manga series.

Masashi Kishimoto’s “Naruto” volume 72 is a fitting, magnificent conclusion of this epic, long-running manga series!  It was a long ride to get to this point, but for those who have read vol. 1 to this final vol. 72, this final volume is definitely recommended!
