November 26, 2009 by

HIMEKA, the Sony Music Entertainment artist who began several years ago as a fan based in Quebec who enjoyed Japanese music, specifically anime songs. She took the chance and moved to Japan to see if she could become a professional singer. It seems like it was an impossible mission but HIMEKA entered Animax’s Anison Grand Prix and beat out all the contestants and received a record deal and also made her dream come true to sing the theme songs to anime such as the adaptation of the PS3 video game “Valkyrie Chronicles” and most recently, the new anime series “Tegamibachi” in Japan.

J!-ENT’s Dennis A. Amith recently had the opportunity to interview HIMEKA. Click here for the interview.
