On May 28th and 29th, L’Arc-en-Ciel “20th L’Anniversary Liveâ€, was simultaneously broadcast to movie theatres in 7 countries across the world.
In a local movie theatre in Taipei, there were groups of people that waited all night to get tickets on release day. The original 2,000 tickets sold out; as was the same in Hong Kong. Even after adding more screens, those too sold out.
In NYC, J!-ENT’s Mimi Ko attended the NYC screening which was a full capacity crowd to see L’Arc~en~Ciel perform live. Although not shown in real-time, fans still had a chance to watch the concert which took place hours prior live in NYC and for the most part, the simultaneous broadcast was successful.
