Day 2 at E3 (June 8, 2011)

Day two of Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and the crowds turned out for another chance to try out the new PlayStation Vita, check out the latest Wii-U and test out the video games on the show floor.

For us, it was another busy appointment day and while we are unable to talk about certain games just yet, we will be doing a report once we are given the green light.  But Tuesday gave us the opportunity to do a few more game playing tests and interviews, unfortunately due to our scheduling and the long line, there was no way for us to see the PlayStation Vita up close.

What we can talk about are a few games in which we got a first hand look of and for me, just seeing and hearing “Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3” was absolutely exciting.  The game continues where the last one left off and with Russia invading the United States, the war continues.

The look and overall detail was quite impressive and once again, from the first two levels that we have watched, fans of the series should be quite impressed with the AI of the enemies and once again, there are many of them.  The adventures are quite solid and while we we were only limited to watching the two levels, “Modern Warfare 3” was clearly the most appreciated game as awards from various publications as nominee for “Best Shooter at E3” filled the walls to the entrance way of the viewing room.

I was talking to an employee of Activision and for me, I was not surprised to see so many awards.  The game is known for its quality as a shooter not just for single player campaign mode but for multi-player but Activision was clear that awards aside, it’s important to continue to hold the high level of quality and make sure that they create the best game possible.  So, overall I was quite impressed with the first two levels that we saw thus far!

Also, it was a highlight for us to see how well Activision treated media in the backroom.  So, thank you Activision for having one of the coolest and well-organized booths for the media at E3 this year!

While day 2 brought a few celebrities to E3 and many clamored to get an autograph from the Miz (WWE) and also watch the concert for “The Lord of the Rings: War in the Norths”, day two was primarily a busy day for us and here we are with the final day 3 at the event!

We’ll see what happens!
