I have to admit that I don’t really know too much about Rita Hayworth. As a matter of fact, my interest came from after watching Michael Jackson’s “THIS IS IT” in which a clip of the beautiful actress from her role in the 1946 film “Gilda” was featured and I immediately purchased the DVD and now looking forward to her DVD boxset in May.
As one of Hollywood’s greatest sex symbols, I have to admit that reading about her life and how she was mistreated by the men she was with was very difficult to read. Especially reading (on Wikipedia) that she died at 68 of Alzheimer’s disease and earlier on, had major bouts with alcohol.
Nevertheless, she was one of America’s top talented female actresses that made the hearts of many swoon. I don’t have too many photos in my collection of Rita Hayworth, but this one is one of my favorites.
