America’s Votes Tallied with Verdict Announced at the End of Each Show
FOX News’ Jeanine Pirro to Host
For the first time ever, the new unscripted series YOU THE JURY will give the biggest jury pool in history – America – the power to decide the outcome of some of the most explosive, real-life, ripped-from-the-headline civil cases. With FOX News’ Jeanine Pirro hosting, six top attorneys who’ve represented some of the nation’s biggest celebrities will argue their cases each week for America’s vote. Every vote counts on YOU THE JURY premiering Friday, April 7 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
Each week, the show’s prosecution and defense – including attorneys Jose Baez, who defended Casey Anthony; Benjamin Crump, who has fought for justice for Trayvon Martin; and Joseph Tacopina, who has represented some of the biggest stars in America; as well as Areva Martin, Mike Cavalluzzi and Charla Aldous – will question and cross-examine the litigants and expert witnesses, as they present their arguments to America and former judge of the Superior Court of California LaDoris Cordell.
The cases will address hot-button issues that define America today. Whether it’s online trolling and the limits of free speech; the constitutional clash of gay rights with religious freedom; or whether someone’s death was the result of a tragic accident or something far more sinister, YOU THE JURY will investigate the law and the intense human stories behind it. In a dramatic twist, the closing arguments will be presented by the plaintiff and the defendant as they sit across from one another.
Once the cases are presented, it will be up to America to decide who will prevail. Viewers will have the opportunity to vote for approximately five minutes, via text and the FOX Now App, after the case has been presented. At the end of the East/Central time zone broadcast, “America’s Verdict” will be revealed. The vote on the verdict is 100% live and binding and it will reflect the decision made by the biggest jury in history – the American public. However, when the West Coast votes, if the cumulative votes (East/Central and West Coast/Mountain Time Zone combined) lead to a different verdict, the original verdict will be overturned as the final outcome of the case.

HOSTED BY YVETTE NICOLE BROWN, SERIES PREMIERES TUESDAY, MARCH 21
UNIVERSAL CITY, CA – February 16, 2017 – The world’s most innovative cosplayers go head to head each week in Syfy’s new transformation competition series COSPLAY MELEE – an epic showdown of creativity, eye popping costumes and one of a kind characters. Premiering on Tuesday, March 21 at 10/9c, the hour-long battle is hosted by actress and self-described “super fan girl” Yvette Nicole Brown (“The New Edition Story,” “Community”) and executive produced by Jay Peterson and Todd Lubin of Matador Content (“Lip Sync Battle”).
Each week, four world class cosplayers compete to create not only intricate full-body costumes – but fully-formed characters that they must bring to life through their own realistic performance. Guiding and critiquing them are a panel of judges including world class cosplayer LeeAnna Vamp, and A-list costume creator, Christian Beckman (“The Hunger Games,” “TRON: Legacy”). At the end of every episode, the winner will walk away with $10,000 … and the right to claim cosplay supremacy.
“Cosplay is passion, artistry, engineering and theater all rolled into one,” said Heather Olander, Senior Vice President, Alternative Development and Production at USA/Syfy. “At the intersection of the maker world and fandom, the incredible artists of COSPLAY MELEE will blow your minds with their transformational creations.”
“As a huge fan of the creativity cosplayers bring to their craft, nothing makes me happier than having a front row seat for the amazing creations set to hit the COSPLAY MELEE runway,” said host Brown. “These talented artists are going to shine!”
Best known for her roles on NBC’s “Community” and having recently starred in “The New Edition Story,” Brown began her television career on “Girlfriends” and currently stars as Dani on the reboot of “The Odd Couple.” Previous film credits include “Little Black Book,” “Tropic Thunder,” “Meet Dave,” “Dreamgirls” and more. Brown can also be seen peeking through prosthetic makeup as one of the Three Fates in the Percy Jackson sequel “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” and has lent her voice for several characters on the big and small screens, including roles on “Family Guy,” “Pound Puppies” and, most recently, “Yellowbird.”

The Feature-Length Documentary Traces Escalating Tensions in Los Angeles Over a Decade Culminating in the 1992 L.A. Uprising Following the Rodney King Verdict
Academy Award-winner John Ridley teams up with ABC News’ Lincoln Square Productions to direct and produce a feature-length documentary, “Let It Fall: Los Angeles 1982-1992,” pegged to the 25th anniversary of the Los Angeles uprising, airing FRIDAY, APRIL 28 (9:00 – 11:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network. As previously announced, the two-hour documentary takes a unique look at the city-wide violence that began April 29, 1992, when the verdict was announced in the Rodney King case.
“Let It Fall” delves beyond the conflict between law enforcement and the black community to look at tensions across the city as a whole; it traces the roots of the civil unrest to a decade before the uprising. The documentary features exclusive interviews with eyewitnesses and people directly involved in the events from diverse neighborhoods across the city, including black, white, Hispanic, Korean and Japanese Americans.
Ridley won an Oscar® for writing “12 Years a Slave” and is the creator, director and executive producer of ABC’s Emmy-winning series “American Crime.” He is currently in production in London for the limited series “Guerilla,” with Idris Elba, Freida Pinto and Babou Ceesay for ABC Signature, Showtime and Sky Atlantic.
“Let It Fall” joins Ridley with a team of veteran ABC News journalists, led by executive producer Jeanmarie Condon, who has been honored for her work on documentaries and in-depth coverage of current events with multiple DuPont, Peabody, Murrow and Emmy Awards.

Five-Part Limited Series Based On Bestselling Patrick Melrose Novels
To Be Written By BAFTA® Award Nominee David Nicholls
NEW YORK – February 28, 2017 – Today, Showtime Networks announced the pickup of the five-part limited series MELROSE, starring and executive produced by Oscar® nominee and Emmy® winner Benedict Cumberbatch (The Imitation Game, Sherlock). BAFTA Award nominee David Nicholls (Far From the Madding Crowd, One Day) is writing all five episodes of the television adaptation. Based on the acclaimed Patrick Melrose series of semi-autobiographical novels written by Edward St. Aubyn, MELROSE hilariously skewers the upper class as it tracks the protagonist’s harrowing odyssey from a deeply traumatic childhood through adult substance abuse and, ultimately, toward recovery. A co-production between SHOWTIME and Sky Atlantic, the limited series will begin shooting in New York, London and the South of France in August. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO, Showtime Networks Inc.
In a tour de force role, Cumberbatch will play Melrose, an aristocratic and outrageously funny playboy who struggles to overcome the damage inflicted by a horribly abusive father and the mother who tacitly condoned the behavior. Asked in 2013 if he could play any literary character ever, Cumberbatch shared in a Reddit Q&A that it would be Patrick Melrose. The limited series will be a true television saga, both gripping and humorous from Nicholls’ adaptation, with a dramatic sweep that encompasses the South of France in the 1960s, New York in the 1980s and Britain in the early 2000’s. MELROSE will devote one hour to each of the five novels, with each episode set over the course of a few intense days in the life of the protagonist.
“We are delighted to be part of this incredible series,” said Benedict Cumberbatch and Adam Ackland. “We have been huge fans of these books for many years and David Nicholls adaptations are extraordinary.”
Michael Jackson and Oscar nominee and Emmy and Golden Globe®-winning producer Rachael Horovitz (Moneyball, Grey Gardens) also serve as executive producers. Jackson, the former Channel Four and IAC executive, recently formed the drama banner Two Cities Television. Melrose will be the company’s first production. Along with Cumberbatch, Adam Ackland will executive produce for SunnyMarch.
“I’ve been a huge admirer of Edward St Aubyn’s novels for years, and can’t wait to bring these dark, witty, brilliant books to the screen,” said David Nicholls. “Benedict is the perfect Patrick Melrose.”
Said Horovitz and Jackson, “Edward St. Aubyn’s book series is one of the great works of fiction of the last thirty years. It’s a privilege to bring them to television with the person who was born to play this remarkable, compelling character.”
Cumberbatch has been nominated for four Primetime Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe for his role as “Sherlock Holmes” in Sherlock, winning the honor in 2014. He also received Oscar, Golden Globe, BAFTA, British Independent Film Award and Screen Actors Guild® Award nominations in 2015 for The Imitation Game. Cumberbatch’s other top roles include Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy, Star Trek Into Darkness, 12 Years a Slave, The Fifth Estate, August: Osage County and Doctor Strange. In 2015, he played the title role in William Shakespeare’s Hamlet at the Barbican Theatre.

An All-New Episode Airs Tonight on FOX
Hit comedy THE MICK, starring Kaitlin Olson, has been renewed for a second season, it was announced today by David Madden, President, Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company.
“From the earliest stages of development, all of us at FOX had enormous faith in THE MICK, and it hasn’t disappointed,” said Madden. “Kaitlin is a fearless comedic force, and the rest of the cast has just proven to be phenomenal. John and Dave Chernin have a very clear vision of what this show is, and they execute on that vision each week to perfection. We really couldn’t be happier with THE MICK, and we’re so thrilled to renew the series for a second season.”
On tonight’s all-new episode of THE MICK, “The Baggage,” airing 8:30-9:00 ET/PT, on FOX, Mickey’s (Kaitlin Olson) unwanted suitors team up to thwart her new romance. Meanwhile, Sabrina (Sofia Black-D’Elia) and Alba (Carla Jimenez) teach Ben (Jack Stanton) a lesson in responsibility.
Delivering an average Multi-Platform audience of eight million viewers, THE MICK is a comedy about an unapologetic degenerate (Kaitlin Olson) who suddenly finds herself stuck raising her spoiled niece (Sofia Black-D’Elia, “The Night Of”) and nephews (Thomas Barbusca, “Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life”; newcomer Jack Stanton) in affluent Greenwich, CT. It’s pretty much everything she never wanted. Regardless, she’s determined to rise to the occasion and transform these little monsters into honest, hard-working, decent members of society – something she knows absolutely nothing about. The series also stars Carla Jimenez (“Last Man Standing”) and newcomer Scott MacArthur.
Produced by 20th Century Fox Television, THE MICK was created/written by John Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Dave Chernin (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”). The Chernin brothers, Nicholas Frenkel (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”) and Oly Obst (“Barely Famous”), along with Randall Einhorn (“Nurse Jackie,” “The Office”), who directed the pilot episode, are executive producers. Kaitlin Olson is a co-executive producer on the series. “Like” THE MICK on Facebook at facebook.com/TheMickFOX/. Follow the series on Twitter @TheMickFOX and join the discussion at #TheMick.
