New York, NY – February 13, 2018 – Kino Classics proudly announces the Blu-ray and DVD release of Emir Kustrica’s UNDERGROUND, winner of the Palme d’Or at the 1995 Cannes Film Festival. This edition from Kino Classics presents both the 170 minute feature film as well as the 327-minute, six-part TV version, Once Upon a Time There Was a Country.

UNDERGROUND is set to street on Blu-ray and DVD February 20, with a SRP of $44.95 for the Blu-ray and $39.95 for the DVD. The Blu-ray edition contains the feature film on Blu-ray (disc 1) while the TV series version is presented on two DVDs (discs 2-3). The DVD edition contains the feature film and TV series on three DVDs (disc 1-3).

Special features include a booklet essay by Giorgio Bertellini, author of the monograph Emir Kustrica; Shooting Days, a 1996 documentary on the making of the film; behind-the-scenes footage; interviews with the cast and crew; and the trailer.
Emir Kusturica’s UNDERGROUND is a carnivalesque classic of wartime profiteering and betrayal. Marko (Miki Manojlović) and Blacky (Lazar Ristovski) are two suspicious characters who make their living on the black market by stealing arms to sell to the Yugoslav Partisans during WWII. They make a killing, but their relationship breaks down in the face of Natalija (Mirjana Joković), an actress who bewitches them both. Their lust turns into a paranoid mania, and Marko makes the delirious decision to lock Blacky in an underground cellar, trying to convince him that the war is still going on outside, and that Blacky is safer to stay hidden, manufacturing arms there in secret (which Marko sells for a tidy profit). This outrageous deception carries on for 20 years, and the repercussions resound through the remainder of Yugoslav history.

CBS has ordered a new global competition series, THE WORLD’S BEST, from two of the most prolific unscripted executive producers in television, Mark Burnett (SURVIVOR, “The Voice”), and Mike Darnell (“American Idol,” “Little Big Shots,” “Ellen’s Game of Games”), it was announced today by Sharon Vuong, Senior Vice President, Alternative Programming for the Network.

THE WORLD’S BEST is a first-of-its-kind global talent competition that features acts from every genre imaginable, from every corner of the planet. They not only have to impress American judges, but will also need to break through the “wall of the world,” featuring 50 of the world’s most accomplished experts from every field of entertainment. Only one act will ultimately be crowned THE WORLD’S BEST.

The kids are back for Season Six of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, featuring award-winning chefs Gordon Ramsay and Christina Tosi, as well as the return of fan-favorite judge Joe Bastianich. The all-new season of the hit culinary competition series debuts with a special two-hour premiere Friday, March 2 (8:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX, and makes its time period premiere on Friday, March 9 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT).

After a nationwide search, 40 of the best young home cooks between the ages of eight and thirteen have been given the chance to showcase their culinary abilities and passion for food through a series of delicious challenges in the MASTERCHEF JUNIOR kitchen. Only the best 12 female and 12 male junior chef-testants will move forward and earn a MASTERCHEF JUNIOR white apron.


This season, the kids will face exciting challenges, including a mystery box challenge with 26 ingredients, each representing a different letter of the alphabet, and a test during which they’ll cook a dish that represents their family heritage. Additionally, the young home cooks will prepare a meal for one lucky couple and their guests at their wedding reception, create the perfect chicken-and-waffle dish, compete in a Blue Apron mystery box challenge and power through the fan-favorite pop-up restaurant challenge, until one talented kid is named America’s next MASTERCHEF JUNIOR, taking home the MASTERCHEF JUNIOR trophy and $100,000 grand prize.


In the special, two-hour season premiere, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun/The Boys Are Back In Town,” 40 junior home cooks come to Los Angeles ready to compete for a MASTERCHEF JUNIOR apron. The junior home cooks are split up into two groups – girls and boys. All 20 girls are tasked with making a flawless medium-rare filet mignon dish, while the boys must create the perfect chicken breast dish. Only 12 winners from each group will earn an apron and a chance to move on. The competition is tougher than ever as the judges separate the best junior chefs from all the rest. The Top 24 contestants begin their quest for the title of MASTERCHEF JUNIOR in the series’ time period premiere, airing Friday, March 9 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Third Consecutive Night of Double Digit Total Audience Delivery Boost Results in TAD of 22.3 Million Viewers for Monday Night Coverage

NBC Posts Most Dominant Monday Night in Sept.-May TV Season by Any Broadcast Net Since ’98 Academy Awards, Featuring “Titanic” As Best Picture

NBC/NBCSN Viewership Peaked at Nearly 27 Million Viewers during Chloe Kim’s Final Run as She Won Halfpipe Gold Medal

STAMFORD, Conn. – February 13, 2018 – Half of U.S. television homes and more than one-third of the country’s population have watched the PyeongChang Olympics on the television networks of NBCUniversal, according to fast cume data provided by Nielsen. Through Sunday, 109.6 million viewers (in 59 million homes) have watched the Winter Games on NBCUniversal networks NBC, NBCSN, CNBC and USA (does not include digital).

Last night’s primetime coverage posted a Total Audience Delivery (TAD) average of 22.3 million viewers, according to live plus same day fast national data released today by Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics. (Nielsen “out of home” viewership will be available this week.)


  • With an NBC-only average of 20.9 million viewers from 8-11 p.m. ET, NBC topped by 87% the combined primetime viewership of ABC, CBS and FOX (11.2 million viewers) — marking the most-dominant Monday night in the Sept.-May TV season by any broadcast network since the 1998 Academy Awards, which featured Titanic as Best Picture.
  • Last night’s coverage was highlighted by 17-year old American Chloe Kim’s halfpipe gold medal, with viewership on NBC/NBCSN peaking at 26.9 million viewers from 9:15-9:30 p.m. ET as she made her final run.


  • Six days into the PyeongChang Olympics, NBC Sports Digital’s presentation has been accessed by 6.6 million unique devices – pacing ahead of the 2016 Rio Olympics (6.0 million through the comparable date) and more than tripling the 2014 Sochi Olympics (1.8 million at this point). NBC Sports Digital delivered an average minute audience of 283,000 for last night’s primetime coverage.


  • For the third consecutive night, the Total Audience Delivery provided a double digit lift (10%) over the NBC broadcast viewership (TAD chart below). NBC Olympics’ Total Audience Delivery measures broader consumption by calculating average minute viewing across broadcast, cable, and digital.
  • NBC’s PyeongChang Olympics full broadcast last night (8-11:24 p.m. ET) averaged 20.3 million viewers and posted an 11.5/21 household rating. Viewership includes the West Coast primetime encore.
  • Helped by the Olympics lead in, NBCSN’s Chelsea-West Brom match yesterday averaged 605,000 viewers – the network’s second-best weekday 3 p.m. ET Premier League viewership on record (711,000 for Arsenal-Manchester United, Feb. 12, 2014)

LOS ANGELES (February 8, 2018) – SAG Awards® Executive Producer Kathy Connell today announced the 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards® ceremony will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2019. The Silver Anniversary celebration of the previous year’s outstanding film and television performances will be simulcast live on TNT and TBS at 8 p.m. (ET)/5 p.m. (PT).

Over its 25 years, the SAG Awards has become one of the awards season’s premier events, attended by a who’s who of film and television. Of the top industry honors presented to actors, only the SAG Awards are selected entirely by performers’ peers in SAG-AFTRA, which this year numbered 121,544 eligible voters. The SAG Awards was the first televised awards show to acknowledge the work of union members and the first to present awards to motion picture casts and television ensembles.

The Inaugural Screen Actors Guild Awards® debuted on February 25, 1995, airing live from Stage 12 at Universal Studios. Angela Lansbury opened the ceremony, ending with the first “I Am an Actor™” declaration, which would become the ceremony’s signature opening. LOS ANGELES, CA – More than 175 Oscar® nominees will come together at noon on Monday, February 5, at the Beverly Hilton when the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences honors this year’s Oscar contenders at its annual Nominees Luncheon.

In addition to celebrating and recognizing excellence in filmmaking through the Oscars, the Academy supports a wide range of initiatives to promote the art and science of the movies, including public programming, educational outreach and the upcoming Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, which is under construction in Los Angeles.

Entertainment Icon Set to Host Los Angeles Debut of Award Show

Honoring Music Industry’s Top DJ Talent


New York, NY, January 31, 2018 – Today, the Global Spin Awards (GSA), the premier awards show honoring the most dynamic and talented DJ’s from around the world, alongside REVOLT, announced music industry legendSnoop Dogg as this year’s host. The award show will take place in Los Angeles, at the Novo Theater on February 15th, and will air exclusively on REVOLT on February 22nd at 9:00 PM ET/6:00 PM PT.


Snoop Dogg also known as DJ Snoopadelic is nominated this year in the GSA celebrity DJ category. With his legendary career and ties to Los Angeles, as well as deep roots in the music industry, he will take the stage to present the 2018 Global Spin Award recipients with their top honors.

This year, the Global Spin Awards will honor Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer Timbaland, who will receive the “Lifetime Achievement Award,” as well as CEO of So So Def and Grammy Award-winning songwriter/producer Jermaine Dupri, who will receive the “Breaking Barriers Award”.
