Finally Dora and Boots return to Enchanted Forest to save it from Owl, who has taken over asking and set up new rules! It’s up to Dora, Boots and their forest friends to restore King Unicornio as king and make things right again!

It appears that Nickelodeon is learning from their experience with “SpongeBob SquarePants” by releasing DVD’s of new episodes before they hit television.

And it appears that Nickelodeon is willing to try it with “Dora the Explorer” in a trilogy of episodes that are set to air in November 2011 but parents will be able to purchase the DVD and show their children these three episodes (one of them is a double episode) two months before it airs.

In these new episodes, Dora and Boots explore the Enchanted Forest and encounter a unicorn named Unicornio who has been chosen to be King of the Enchanted Forest.  Dora and Boots try to help Unicornio become king, try to end the feud between unicorns and dragons but also to help Unicornio be King of the forest and save it from Owl!

In this DVD, children can learn Spanish language skills, math skills and new songs and the importance of having friends plus other learning and problem-solving skills.

Included on this DVD are:

  • Tale of the Unicorn King – Unicornio has been chose King of Enchanted Forest, but he needs help from Dora, Boots and YOU to see that he’s kind, smart, brave and strong enough for the job!
  • The Secret of Atlantis - Dora, Boots and King Unicornio leave the forest to join Diego in making the lost continent of Atlantis rise by ending an ancient feud between unicorns and dragons!
  • Dora Saves King Unicornio – Dora and Boots return to Enchanted Forest to save it from Owl who has taken over as king and set up new rules banning scarecrows, elves and fairies from the forest!  But the Enchanted Forest is for everyone!   Dora, Boots and their forest friends need your help to restore Unicornio as king and make things fair again.

VIDEO & AUDIO:

“Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures” is presented in full screen and in Dolby Digital stereo. Animation features vibrant colors and dialogue is clear and understandable. Picture quality is good as these are newer episodes.  Possibly the biggest improvement is the addition of the newer introduction for these Enchanted Forest episodes.

Picture and audio quality is colorful and vibrant on DVD. Some CG is utilized for the backgrounds and for the most part, picture quality is very good.

“Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures” comes with the following music videos:

“Dora the Explorer – Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures” is another educational, fun DVD for the children.

Unlike previous episodes, these episodes take Dora out of the usual setting and puts her and Boots in a magical setting of the Enchanted Forest.    And what better than to have fairies, elves, unicorns and dragons…needless to say, it makes for a great animated adventure episodes for the children as the series helps with their Spanish, decision making but also introduces music and more.

In this DVD series, children can learn Spanish Language skills and also math skills but also for children to learn decision making during the multiple adventures that Dora takes part in. Also, there are new songs for your children to learn and sing and also learning about the importance of friends plus other learning and problem solving skills that the popular children show is known for.

With “Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures” on DVD, there are also special features included as you get three music videos. So, it’s great to see the special features back again but also the incentive of a free one year subscription to “Parent’s Magazine”.

Also, I like what Nickelodeons has been doing of late by bringing out these animated episodes on DVD before they air on television.  These are very enticing because they are new and I have no doubt that children will enjoy these latest adventures of “Dora the Explorer”.

Overall, if you are looking for new “Dora the Explorer” episodes on DVD or an adventure animated series that is educational, safe and fun for the younger children, “Dora the Explorer: Dora’s Enchanted Forest Adventures” is recommended!
