Earlier today, there were reports of what happened to Brittany Murphy’s money and questions of why her husband Simon Monjack, withdrew a lot of it.

According to Brittany Murphy’s manager, Jeffrey Morgenroth, her husband Simon Monjack drained 80% of her cash reserves.

Morgenroth tells PEOPLE Magazine, “There were huge amounts of money in [Brittany's] pension plan and bank account, and all of that’s gone. I would see it on the statements. There was money being withdrawn by Simon, hundreds of thousands.”

Linda Monjack, mother of Simon Monjack defended her son and told PEOPLE Magazine, “If there is money missing I have no idea where it is. He didn’t get much, maybe a few hundred dollars, and he paid off his debts with it. He was spending his time crying his eyes out most of the time. He was in a terrible state.”

“I think there were financial problems [before their deaths]. They were certainly acting like there were problems. Sharon was asking friends for money and I don’t know why.”

Needless to say, I’m sure we will be hearing more about this…
