It was just a few days ago, Warren Sapp was all gearing up for the Super Bowl interviewing celebrities such as Queen Latifah, Carrie Underwood and some of the NFL’s prominent stars but then came the incident in Miami at around noon time on Saturday.

A woman reported a domestic dispute and said that she was partying with Sapp and friends at a hotel and asked for his room key so she can rest because she was tired. Then according to the affidavit, Sapp woke her up a few hours later and the two argued and allegedly Sapp chocked her and pushed her down on the couch.

Sapp is saying the woman fell from the couch when she was getting up. Regardless of what may have happened, Sapp is being arraigned and will be transferred to Miami-Dade County jail.

The NFL Network has released the following statement: “We have been made aware of the arrest of Warren Sapp by the Miami Beach Police Department. In light of these circumstances, Warren Sapp will not appear on NFL Network while we review the matter.”
