Kobe Bryant with an awesome 3 pointer with a minute left against the New Orleans Hornets. Awesome!
As of today, the LA Lakers are the only undefeated team in the NBA and what a great feeling to see the Lakers on top again this season.
Currently the Lakers are 7-0 and in the 1997 season, they were 11-0. I hope the group can keep it up because after the NBA finals loss to the Boston Celtics, I went through a few withdrawals and hoping the team could rebuild in 2008. And its evident that the team is going strong.
But as Phil Jackson has said, it’s one thing to start off with a good record but can you end with a good record. I don’t know how many times we have seen both in the NFL and MLB of a team with great records but not finishing with a championship. Of course, the prime example being the New England Patriots who had went on to the Superbowl undefeated but losing the big game.
But it’s still too early to tell what’s going to happen with the teams and who will stay on top of the NBA but hope the Lakers can remain healthy all season. And for now, just enjoying an undefeated Lakers team! Go Lakers!
