T.I. and wife Tameka busted on drug charges

This is the last thing T.I. needs and unfortunately, the hip hop artist and his wife Tameka Cottle were arrested on drug charges on Wednesday.

Los Angeles Sheriff’s Deputy Mark Pope said, “Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. A narcotics investigation ensued” that resulted in the arrests at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood.

Both were released on bail at 4:00 a.m. for $10,000 each and are due in court on Friday to face two counts of possession of a controlled substance.

This is not good for T.I. who is on parole for his 2008 conviction for an illegal weapons charge. T.I. served seven months in prison and 90 days in a halfway house wand was released on probation in March.

Tameka tweeted the following earlier this morning:
