After a nine day absence, fan favorite Whoopi returns to “The View,” live, MONDAY, JUNE 28 to reclaim her moderator chair. Whoopi has been away on location since June 22 shooting a feature film. During that time pals Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck, Sherri Shepherd and, for the first time in the show’s history, a few good men, have been filling in as guest moderators.
Award-winning actor James Franco makes his first appearance on “The View,” live, WEDNESDAY, JUNE 30, the same day he returns to ABC’s “General Hospital” as bad boy performance artist Franco, a role he originated in November 2009.
First time celebrity guest co-hosts include Jesse Tyler Ferguson (ABC’s “Modern Family”) and Yvette Nicole Brown, TUESDAY, JUNE 29 and THURSDAY, JULY 1, respectively. Television personality/author and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Kate Gosselin returns to co-host, FRIDAY, JULY 2.
Scheduled guests for the week of June 28-July 2 are as follows (subject to change):
MONDAY, JUNE 28 – Whoopi Goldberg returns; Nikki Blonsky (“Huge”); Tonya Craft, a former kindergarten teacher in Georgia found not guilty of molesting three young girls, plus her husband, David Craft, and her lawyer.
TUESDAY, JUNE 29 – Jesse Tyler Ferguson (ABC’s “Modern Family”) makes his first appearance as guest co-host; Helen Mirren & Taylor Hackford (“Love Ranch”); Bristol Palin (“The Secret Life of the American Teenager”).
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 30 – First time guest appearance from James Franco (ABC’s “General Hospital”).
THURSDAY, JULY 1 – Actress/comedian Yvette Nicole Brown (“Community”) makes her first appearance as guest co-host; Helen Hunt (Broadway’s “Our Town”).
FRIDAY, JULY 2 – Television personality/author and former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant Kate Gosselin (“Kate Plus 8”) returns to co-host; red, white & blue outfits are featured during “‘The View’: Fashion Friday”; tanning without the sun; summer foods.
