Additional Guest Co-Hosts to Be Announced in Coming Weeks
Victoria Beckham is confirmed to co-host “The View,” ABC’s Emmy® Award-winning talk and entertainment show, live, WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 17 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network. Beckham’s appearance will be her first as a featured celebrity guest co-host. Her first guest appearance on “The View” was in Sept. 2009.
Beckham, a fashion icon, rose to fame in the 1990s as part of the internationally successful pop group “Spice Girls.” She is an acclaimed singer/dancer/author/actress/model/songwriter and businesswoman, and has a line of popular fragrances, Signature for Her and Intimately Beckham by David & Victoria Beckham. She is married to soccer superstar David Beckham and they have three sons. The couple were featured as one of Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People of 2007.” Beckham has appeared on ABC’s “Ugly Betty” and “Dancing with the Stars,” and was most recently seen as a celebrity guest judge on the new season of “American Idol.”
As previously announced, Meghan McCain, daughter of former GOP presidential candidate John McCain, is confirmed to guest co-host, live, Thursday, Feb. 4. Additional guest co-hosts will be announced in the coming weeks.

The subject on everyone’s mind and crossing everyone’s lips is the controversial topic of Universal Healthcare. This hot button issue continues to take center stage on “The View.” On January 20, moderator Whoopi Goldberg exclaimed loudly to Congress on the subject of Universal Healthcare: “GIVE ME WHAT YOU’VE GOT!”

Since its launch, “The View” has received 28 Daytime Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Talk Show and
Outstanding Talk Show host honoring Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. Daytime Emmy Award history was made on Aug. 30, 2009 when the hosts of “The View” were awarded the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Talk Show Host. It was the first time in the 36 year history of NATAS that multiple hosts were bestowed that honor in this category. “The View” has received 11 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Daytime Talk Show and 12 consecutive nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host.
“The View” is broadcast in HDTV with 5.1-channel surround sound, and is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on the ABC Digital Full Episode Player at ABC.com. “The View” is produced by ABC Daytime and Ms. Walters’ Barwall Productions, with Ms. Walters serving as executive producer along with Bill Geddie, who also serves as executive producer for “The Barbara Walters Specials.” “The View” is directed by Mark Gentile.
