Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Blake Shelton and Keith Urban to Perform an All-Star Medley Honoring Country Music Icon Glen Campbell
Multi-ACM Award®-Winning Group Lady Antebellum to Host and Perform on the Special, Which Will Tape August 30 at Nashville’s Historic Ryman Auditorium
Toby Keith and Blake Shelton have been added to the all-star lineup of musicians performing at the 10TH ANNUAL ACM HONORS™, which makes its television debut on Friday, Sept. 9 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. They will join previously announced performers Dierks Bentley and Keith Urban in a special tribute to country music icon Glen Campbell, who will be honored with the ACM Career Achievement Award. The country music luminaries will perform an all-star medley of Campbell’s greatest hits, culminating in an ensemble performance of the iconic “Rhinestone Cowboy.†Kim Campbell will accept the award on behalf of her husband.
Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Kelsea Ballerini, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, Cam, Maren Morris, Cole Swindell, Keith Urban and Lady Antebellum. Ten-time ACM Award-winning group Lady Antebellum will also host the evening, dedicated to celebrating the special honorees and off-camera category winners from the 51st Academy of Country Music Awards. The ACM Honors will be held on Tuesday, August 30, at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium. Additional performers and presenters will be announced at a later date.
Special Awards recipients for the ACM Honors™ include Glen Campbell, Crystal Gayle, Eddie Rabbitt (awarded posthumously), Tanya Tucker, Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Jeff Walker (awarded posthumously), Jimmy Webb, Little Big Town and The Statler Brothers. Studio Recording Awards recipients include Jim “Moose†Brown, Dave Cobb, Shannon Forrest, Paul Franklin, Justin Niebank, Danny Rader, Michael Rhodes and Derek Wells. In addition, Ross Copperman will be honored as Songwriter of the Year, and Jason Aldean will receive the prestigious ACM Triple Crown Award.
ACM Honors will be produced for television by dick clark productions. Allen Shapiro, Mike Mahan, R.A. Clark, Barry Adelman and Mark Bracco are executive producers. Tiffany Moon is executive producer for the Academy of Country Music.
