NEW YORK, Feb. 1 – Shaun White, who over the weekend took the gold medal in the Men’s Superpipe snowboarding event in the 2010 Winter X Games, makes his first visit to the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Tuesday, Feb. 2 (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.  White, who struck his head on the halfpipe during an X Games practice run Friday and escaped with a nasty scrape on his face, went on to win gold for the third year in a row in the Men’s Superpipe, the first athlete to win three consecutive titles in that event.  The 2006 Winter Olympic gold medalist in the Men’s Halfpipe, White now looks to defend his title at the 2010 Winter Olympics Games in Vancouver.

Also visiting the LATE SHOW on Tuesday are actor John Travolta, star of the new film “From Paris with Love,” and musical guests Ben Harper and Relentless7.  The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated.  Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
