Show in Total Viewers and Women 25-54, Behind Only “Oprah”

Becomes the Show’s Second-Most-Watched Debut Week Ever in Total Viewers

As “The View” continues to be the place viewers come for entertainment and information on everything from pop-culture to politics, with guests ranging from President Obama to Justin Bieber, the 14th season premiered to 3.5 million Total Viewers, making it the No. 2 talk show during the first week of the 2010/11 season, and ranking as its second-most-watched premiere week of all time. The premiere week, September 6th, welcomed back co-host Barbara Walters, first-time guest David Letterman and General Colin Powell, among others.

* The 14th season premiere week of “The View” stood daytime’s No. 2 talk show during the premiere week of the 2010/11 season among Total Viewers (3.5 million) and Women 25-54 (956,000/1.5 rating), behind only “Oprah’s” final season debut week and ahead of “Ellen.”

* “The View’s” opening week of its 14th season exceeded last season’s premiere week by 6% in Total Viewers (3.5 million vs. 3.3 million) and by 17% among Women 25-54 (956,000 vs. 820,000).
