Commemorating 10 years since the attack on the World Trade Center, CBS daytime’s THE TALK will air a special tribute show this Thursday, Sept. 8 (2:00-3:00 PM, ET; 1:00-2:00 PM, PT) featuring CBS’s “9/11: 10 Years Later” filmmakers Jules Naudet and James Hanlon, and “Rebirth” documentary subjects Tanya Villanueva Tepper, Ling Young and director Jim Whitaker.

As the country looks back on the tragic events that unfolded that day, THE TALK will explore the aftermath of the terrorist attacks with “9/11: 10 Years Later” filmmakers Naudet and Hanlon as they discuss the heroism that 9/11 elicited and the health issues that have affected firefighters and first responders working at Ground Zero in the years that followed. They join the hosts to discuss the documentary, which is an update of the critically acclaimed, multiple award-winning film, “9/11,” to be broadcast on CBS as a special presentation Sunday, Sept. 11 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

Also appearing on the show are “Rebirth” documentary subjects Tanya Villanueva Tepper, who lost her fiancé, a New York firefighter, and survivor Ling Young, who was in the South Tower of the World Trade Center when it was hit by the second plane. Young will share her story of survival of escaping the tower from the 86th floor, but not without severe burns all over her body. They join “Rebirth” director Jim Whitaker to discuss the process of recovery, and how their lives have changed in the decade following the tragedy.

Hosts Julie Chen and Sharon Osbourne will also reflect on their own personal experiences on the ground in New York during the attacks.

John Redmann and host Sara Gilbert, who developed the show, are executive producers.
