Foo Fighters are the rare type of American rock band that have been storming the music scene for nearly 20 years while appealing to young and older fans alike.  Led by Dave Grohl, Foo Fighters also features the talents of Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel, Chris Shiflett and Pat Smear.  Throughout their career, Foo Fighters have released six studio albums, three of which have won Best Rock Album GRAMMY® Awards.

Produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, the band’s seventh studio album, Wasting Light, was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Grohl’s home in California’s San Fernando Valley.  The no computers/no software back-to-basics approach has resulted in arguably the most cohesive effort of the band’s career.  From the first single, “Rope,” to the frenetic opener, “Bridge Burning,” to another standout, “These Days,” to special guest spots from Bob Mould (“Dear Rosemary”) and Krist Novoselic (“I Should Have Known”), Wasting Light showcases how this band, who has headlined arenas, stadiums and festivals the world over, can strip itself down to the bare essentials and come up with an exciting new release.
