OSCAR.COM GIVES MOVIE FANS AND FILM BUFFS AROUND THE WORLD A FRONT ROW SEAT TO THE 82nd ACADEMY AWARDS

Site Celebrates Hollywood’s Biggest Night with VIP Access, Exclusive Content and New Interactive Features

Oscar.com, the official online home of the 82nd Academy Awards, kicks off the Oscars® with extensive coverage of this morning’s Nominations Announcement and unveils new innovative features to make Hollywood’s biggest event even more accessible to movie lovers.

“Year after year we see more and more fans looking to the Internet to extend and enhance their Academy Awards viewing experience,” said Alexis Rapo, vice president, Digital Media, ABC Entertainment, which produces Oscar.com in partnership with the Academy. “This year, with even more exciting and exclusive content than ever, Oscar.com will be the premier online source for dedicated, engaging and in-depth coverage of Hollywood’s biggest night, offering viewers around the world insider access to all the latest Oscar® news and happenings.”

Beginning today, Oscar.com features complete information about this year’s nominees, including a full listing of all the nominees, bios, clips and film synopses. Highlights of the site’s unique interactive features include:

* “Oscars Play Along” — an interactive game that offers fans a chance to test their Oscar prediction skills. On Oscar Night®, users play along during the show, predicting category winners ahead of the opening of the envelopes and answering trivia questions. The game will provide immediate leader board updates, and up-to-the-second opinion polls.
* “Oscars Top 10” – Feature allows users to create, sort and share Oscar-themed “best of” lists via social networks.

Oscar.com will continue to release new content to keep Oscar fans updated through March 7, the night of the show, and beyond.

Later this month Oscar.com will launch “Oscar Tweets,” allowing fans to pull back the veil and see the Academy Awards through the eyes of the people that know them best – the insiders. In the weeks prior to and during the event itself, real-time Twitter updates will provide fans with insider access to all the activities.

On February 23, the site will introduce “Oscars Designer Challenge 2010,” which will give fans the opportunity to choose one of the awards escorts and the dress she will wear at this year’s ceremony.

On February 26, the site will roll out “The Road to the Oscars,” a daily online show that will cover all of the special events leading up to the awards, as well as feature news updates, interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.

Additionally, the site is home to photo galleries and videos from past Oscar telecasts. The site will also feature a community section where fans can join a discussion or chat in a moderated forum.

On the big night, Oscar.com will feature exclusive special backstage coverage of the evening’s events, including:

* “Backstage at the Oscars” offers fans an insider’s view of Hollywood’s biggest night with the Thank You Cam, allowing Oscar winners an extended opportunity to thank their supporters immediately after they’ve left the stage.
* Backstage Cam, capturing backstage action, short interviews and behind-the-scenes footage.
* Press Room Cam, featuring winners in the press area after they leave the stage.

The 82nd Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood and Highland Center®, and televised live by the ABC Television Network.
