First -Time Oscar Winner and Angelina Jolie Impersonator, Jim Rash, Talks About His Academy Awards Performance For The First Time On TV With E! News
Fresh off his Oscar win, actor/writer Jim Rash stopped by E! News to dish about his high profile “Oscar†moment that’s generated tremendous buzz and gone viral. As Angelina Jolie was announcing his category, Best Screenplay, she struck a seductive pose that has created a wild response and Rash, upon accepting his award, struck that very same sultry position, leading some to say he was “mocking†the famous actress.
E! News can set the story straight as Rash explains, “I thought, ‘she was owning that [the pose]’, I thought ‘that’s a great way for me to own this proud moment.’â€
When asked if he has heard anything from Brad or Angie he replied, “No, I haven’t heard from Brad and Angie…but if they want me to come to a pool party and explain it to their face, I will.†He continues, “I passed Brad on the way out [of the Oscars] and nothing happened…he didn’t punch me…my face is still perfect.â€
Angie-controversy aside, Rash says the night was one to remember, “It’s been overwhelming …but at that moment when they read you name, it’s an emotion you can’t articulate…it was such an honor.†When he isn’t winning Oscars or mimicking one of the sexiest women alive, Rash can be found on the set of Community with E!’s Joel McHale.
