KELLEY WILLIAMS-BOLAR, THE OHIO MOTHER CONVICTED OF A FELONY FOR LYING TO GET HER CHILDREN INTO A BETTER SCHOOL, MAKES HER FIRST NATIONAL TELEVISION APPEARANCE SINCE BEING RELEASED FROM JAIL, ON FRIDAY’S EPISODE OF “THE TALK”

Kelley Williams-Bolar, the single mother of two from Akron, Ohio who was sentenced to jail time for lying to the school district so that her children could be safe and receive a better education, made her first national television appearance since being released, on Friday’s episode of THE TALK, on the CBS Television Network.  Williams-Bolar, who appeared on the show with her attorney, David Singleton, was convicted of lying about her residency to get her kids into a better school district and just finished serving 10 days in jail.  Currently, she is on probation and spoke about her experience via satellite from Cleveland, Ohio, with hosts Julie Chen and Leah Remini in Los Angeles.

When asked by Chen if she has any regrets, Williams-Bolar said, “I was just being a mom and just trying to look out for my girls.”  Williams-Bolar continued, “The regret that I probably would have had is if I had let my girls stay in their home, because during that time when the first burglary [happened], my daughter wanted to stay home that day.  She wasn’t feeling well.  If I had let me daughter stay home at that time alone and a man was in my home, yeah, that’s a regret.  So, right now, sorry, I don’t have any regrets.”
