JULIA ROBERTS TALKS ABOUT HER NEWEST CO-STAR- “LATE SHOW” STAGE MANAGER BIFF HENDERSON – WHEN SHE VISITS CBS’S “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN,” WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4

Superstar Julia Roberts talks about her newest co-star – LATE SHOW stage manager Biff Henderson – when she visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, Aug. 4 on the CBS Television Network.

During the interview, Letterman asked Roberts about the movie she just shot, “Larry Crowne,” with Tom Hanks and said, “Now, you just finished a movie with Tom Hanks and Biff Henderson is in the movie. Is this a typo?” Roberts said, “Listen, my first day, I show up on this Tom Hanks movie, the great Tom Hanks. He has written this movie, he is going to star in this movie, he is going to direct this movie. He has asked me to play a part in this movie. I’m very excited. I show up on my first day, I’m a little bit nervous, and I walk on the set and who do I see but my good friend, Biff Henderson.”

Letterman asks Henderson to come on stage, where Roberts invites the LATE SHOW stage manager to sit in the guest chair next to her. Henderson revealed, “My character is a guy called Cappy…He goes to a diner every morning that Julia likes to eat breakfast at, I believe. Isn’t that right?” Roberts added, “Well, it’s the first time I’ve been there, but that’s okay.” Letterman asked Roberts if she and Hanks fall in love in the movie, and she says no, and Letterman then jokes, “Don’t tell me you and Biff fall in love.” Roberts laughs, “There’s always a sub-plot. You never know what it’s going to be, but there’s always a sub-plot.” Letterman asks Henderson, “Are you in it long, Biff, the movie?” Henderson said, “I just hope I’m in it,” and Roberts added, “You and me both, brother.”

Roberts’ entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. The actress stars in the new film “Eat Pray Love,” which opens in theaters Aug. 13.

Also on tonight’s LATE SHOW is a performance by musical guests The Dead Weather.
