“IRON MIKE” TYSON TO MAKE HIS FIRST-EVER GUEST APPEARANCE ON ABC’S “THE VIEW,” MAY 7

Interview Marks the First Time the Retired Boxer and Barbara Walters Will Speak Since 1988 Bombshell Television Interview

Retired American boxer Mike Tyson is confirmed to make his first-ever guest appearance on “The View,” FRIDAY, MAY 7 (11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, ET) on the ABC Television Network. This interview marks the first time that Barbara Walters and Tyson will speak since her 1988 “20/20″ joint interview with Tyson and then-wife Robin Givens. Tyson is promoting a new series for Animal Planet and a documentary of his life. He recently made a cameo appearance on the big screen in the hit comedy “The Hangover.”

“The View” features Daytime Emmy Award-winning hosts Barbara Walters, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd. “The View” is broadcast in HDTV with 5.1-channel surround sound, and is now available to watch online daily at 4:00 p.m., ET/1:00 p.m., PT on the ABC Digital Full Episode Player at ABC.com.

“The View” is produced by ABC Daytime and Ms. Walters’ Barwall Productions, with Ms. Walters serving as executive producer along with Bill Geddie, who also serves as executive producer for “The Barbara Walters Specials.” “The View” is directed by Mark Gentile. Musical performances produced and directed by Mark Gentile.
