IN HER FIRST INTERVIEW SINCE THE DEATH OF HER FATHER, TONY CURTIS, ACTRESS JAMIE LEE CURTIS SPEAKS CANDIDLY ABOUT HER DAD, ON “THE TALK,” FRIDAY, OCT. 22

In her first interview since the death of her father, actor Tony Curtis, actress Jamie Lee Curtis spoke openly about her dad on THE TALK during today’s broadcast of the new daily daytime talk show on the CBS Television Network.

During the interview with hosts Julie Chen, Sharon Osbourne and Leah Remini, Curtis did a humorous imitation of her late father, then went on to say, “The invention of Tony Curtis was his life… He was not a father.  He was not interested in being a father.”  Curtis continued, “Now, by the way, that’s not a slam against him.  He was very clear.  He did what he was supposed to do from a financial standpoint, which was honorable for him to do.  But, he was not an involved father and, therefore, I look at him much more from the perspective of being like all of you: a fan of him.”

THE TALK, CBS’s new daily daytime talk show that examines topical events and contemporary issues through the eyes of six female hosts who are all mothers, airs weekdays 2:00-3:00 PM, ET / 1:00-2:00 PM, PT.  THE TALK is hosted by Julie Chen, Sara Gilbert, Sharon Osbourne, Holly Robinson Peete, Leah Remini and Marissa Jaret Winokur.  Brad Bessey, Gilbert, who developed the show, and John Redmann are executive producers.
