They say it’s a man’s world. Normally the hosts of ABC’s ‘The View” would strongly disagree, but they entertained the idea in May, 2010 since the men who joined them at the “Hot Topics” table were friends. It was the first time in the 13-year-history of “The View” that men were consecutively featured as co-hosts for one week. Encore broadcasts of “Co-Hosts’ Guy Friend Week” are showcased AUG. 23-26.
On FRIDAY, AUG. 27 it’s an encore of “The View: Behind the Scenes” show. “The View” has been called one of the best reality shows on television. Now viewers and fans will again have the chance to witness first-hand the backstage drama that unfolds each weekday morning leading up to show time. During the hour “The View” producers and staff take their audience on an exciting behind-the-scenes journey, from inception to execution, outlining how the Thursday, Aug. 26 encore broadcast was produced. The show features guest co-host Mario Cantone (“Sex and the City 2”), Michael Douglas (“Solitary Man”), music from Broadway’s “Million Dollar Quartet,” and “‘The View’: Fashion Friday,” showcasing designer Christian Siriano (winner, “Project Runway”).
“‘The View’: Season 14” begins TUESDAY, SEPT. 7, live on ABC, marking creator/executive producer and co-host Barbara Walters’ return to the show.
