The Fifth Couple is Eliminated on “Dancing with the Stars The Results Show”
Tuesday, October 19
“Episode 1105/1105A” – This week on “Dancing with the Stars,” it’s TV theme night, with  eight remaining couple doing the Quickstep, Tango, Rumba, Foxtrot and Jive to iconic theme songs from such television series as “Friends,” “Bewitched,” “The Brady Bunch” and more, on MONDAY, OCTOBER 18, (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

On Tuesday, the fifth couple to be eliminated this season will be sent home on “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show,” TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Also on Tuesday’s Results Show, red-hot pop singing sensation Jason Derulo will perform his platinum single “In My Head,” and a contemporary version of the classic song “Georgia on My Mind.” Derulo recently embarked on his first tour of the U.S. since his six-week stint on the road with Lady Gaga on her sold-out “Monster Ball” tour of North America in January 2010. The first artist signed to Warner Bros. Records’ joint venture with Beluga Heights, Derulo is touring throughout the Fall 2010 in support of his self-titled debut album, produced by veteran songwriter and hitmaker J.R. Rotem (Sean Kingston, Rihanna, Leona Lewis). The album has spawned three hit singles and established the Miami native as the breakout star of 2010. The triple-platinum “Whatcha Say” (which spent four consecutive weeks atop the Pop chart), and the platinum “In My Head,” made Derulo the first male solo artist to score consecutive  No. 1’s on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the chart’s 17-year-history with his first two entries. “Whatcha Say,” which climbed to No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, Rhythmic, and Pop charts, has sold five million copies, while Derulo’s second single, “In My Head,” has sold more than three million copies, both worldwide, to date. His third single “Ridin’ Solo,” has been certified platinum in the U.S., while its accompanying video has earned more than 17 million views on YouTube. Derulo has sold over 10 million singles and 600,000 albums worldwide. Collectively, his videos have racked up more than 200 million views on YouTube, making Derulo the channel’s 20th Most Viewed Musician of all time. Derulo has also been nominated for three 2010 Teen Choice Awards in the music category, including the highly coveted “Choice Music: Breakout Artist – Male.” “In My Head” has been nominated for “Choice Music: R&B Track,” while the album has been nominated for “Choice Music: Album – R&B.”

Also on Tuesday, Latin singing sensation, Shakira, is set to perform her newest single “Loca.” Shakira’s (Epic Records) global hit “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa),” has become the best-selling World Cup song in history. “Waka Waka” will be available on her forthcoming album Sale el Sol/The Sun Comes Out, which is scheduled to be released on October 19th. After selling an astounding two million singles, “Waka Waka” is the biggest World Cup song ever released, however its success goes far beyond its popularity as a song, the song and accompanying dance has become a cultural and viral phenomenon. The official video for “Waka Waka” has seen over 170 million YouTube hits making it the #4 most watched video of all time and the #3 most watched music video. Including unofficial “Waka Waka” videos, the total cumulative views are over 350 million. The track was also the soundtrack to Shakira’s hugely successful 1Goal campaign in which Shakira devised the now-famed “Waka Waka” dance and tasked her fans around the world to “dance for 1Goal” and upload their “Waka Dance” videos to spread the word for education.

Fans in overwhelming numbers made videos and uploaded them to YouTube with flash-mobs popping up across the world – together gathering more than 400 million views and helping to promote 1Goal’s campaign for universal education. On the heels of the momentous success of “Waka Waka,” Shakira is set to release her new single “Loca” in Spanish and English featuring UK phenomenon Dizzee Rascal and Dominican hip-hop artist El Cata (on the English and Spanish respectively). Recorded in the Dominican Republic, Shakira brings her signature fusion of musical identities to this production of “Loca” by blending the horn-heavy elements of meringue with a synthesis of techno percussions laid out to a dance back beat. “Loca” is Shakira’s interpretation of El Cata’s song “Loca Con Su Tiguere.” For the “Loca” video, Shakira took to the streets of Barcelona, with Dizzee Rascal and a handheld camera, as the backdrop for “Loca.” In an attempt to capture the true interpretation of the song, Shakira opted to go away from the traditional big production music video to portray a spirited, fun-filled day being ‘loca’ in the streets with the people of Barcelona.

By evening’s end, one couple will be eliminated, as determined by a combination of the judges’ scores and viewers’ votes on dances performed on Monday’s performance show. Who among the following eight teams will be next to leave the ballroom floor?
