CBS ANNOUNCES THE SEASON FINALE DATES FOR “THE AMAZING RACE” AND “SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA”

The Sole Survivor of “Survivor: Nicaragua” Will Be Named During the Two-Hour Season Finale, Followed by the One-Hour Live Reunion Show on a Special Night, Sunday, Dec. 19

CBS’s two reality hits come to their conclusions when the season finale of THE AMAZING RACE is broadcast Sunday, Dec. 12 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the winner of SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA is revealed in a two-hour season finale on a special night Sunday, Dec. 19 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT).

The three remaining Teams will battle in one final leg for the $1 million grand prize during the season finale of THE AMAZING RACE.  The current installment of THE AMAZING RACE has increased its ratings in comparison to last fall’s edition, averaging 11.71 million viewers (+3%), 4.7 in adults 25-54 (+7%) and 3.7 in adults 18-49 (+3%).  Phil Keoghan is host.

SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA will crown the sole Survivor and award the $1 million grand prize during a special two-hour season finale, which will be followed by the one-hour live reunion show hosted by Jeff Probst.

SURVIVOR: NICARAGUA has won its new Wednesday time period in viewers, adults 18-49 and adults 25-54 every week this season against regularly scheduled competition, with gains over last year’s edition as well as the time period a year ago.  Compared to last fall’s edition that aired on Thursdays, SURVIVOR is averaging 13.26 million viewers (+4%), 4.2 in adults 18-49 (+2%) and 5.4 in adults 25-54 (+6%) and has improved the year-ago Wednesday 8:00-9:00 PM time period by +89% in viewers, +91% in adults 18-49 and +86% in adults 25-54.
