ALEC BALDWIN TALKS ABOUT HIS RUN-IN YESTERDAY WITH A PHOTOGRAPHER WHEN HE VISITS CBS’ “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN” TONIGH

Actor Alec Baldwin discusses his run-in yesterday with a New York Daily News photographer when he visits the LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, June 20.  Below are excerpts from tonight’s interview:

Letterman:  “So here now, because – ” (Letterman reaches for a copy of today’s New York Daily News, with a cover photo of Baldwin and one of the paper’s photographers confronting each other.)

Baldwin:  “Let’s get to it, shall we?  You’re obviously burning to hold up the cover of the Daily News.”

Letterman:  “Well, because, I mean, there’s a very fine line because they have this picture, somebody took this picture, so what are they going to do?  They’re going to publish it.  But the picture, without knowing the true story, tells a tale that’s often not true…”  (Letterman holds up the copy of today’s Daily News to show the audience.) “And I think, honestly, Alec, if this was me, look at how good you look.  This is the guy who stuffed the camera right in your face.  What’s this guy’s name?”

Baldwin:  “I think you can see I’m forming the letter ‘f” with my mouth.  And what I’m saying is – I said to him as I walked up to him, ‘What F-stop are you on with the camera?’  And he said, ‘I’m on a something,’ and I said, ‘That’s not the F-stop…You have to set the camera on the right F-stop.’”

Baldwin’s entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN is a production of Worldwide Pants Incorporated.  Barbara Gaines, Matt Roberts, Jude Brennan, Maria Pope, Eric Stangel, Justin Stangel and Rob Burnett are the executive producers.
