AFTER A DRAMA-FILLED WEEK IN THE “BIG BROTHER” HOUSE, KARA MONACO IS VOTED OUT DURING FIRST LIVE EVICTION OF THE SEASON

Frank Wins LIVE Head of Household Competition

During the first LIVE eviction last night on BIG BROTHER, the Houseguests voted to evict Kara Monaco, the 29-year-old model from Orlando, Fla., who now resides in Los Angeles, by a vote of 5-3. The vote follows an action-packed week inside the house as the newbies revolted against the Coaches and fireworks erupted between Willie and Frank, both of which caused dramatic shifts in alliances.

Following the eviction ceremony, the Houseguests competed in a LIVE “Big Brother Break-In” Head of Household competition where they had to recall details from a newsreel featuring a burglar wreaking havoc in the BIG BROTHER house. Frank answered the most questions correctly, winning HoH for the week.

At the end of the show, host Julie Chen revealed that the winner of the next Coaches competition will have an opportunity to trade one of their Houseguests or keep one of their players safe from eviction for the week. Only the HoH is off-limits to trade.

BROTHER is broadcast three nights weekly, Sundays (8:00:30-8:59:30 PM, ET/PT), Wednesdays (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) and the LIVE eviction show, hosted by Julie Chen, Thursdays (9:00-10:00 PM, live ET/delayed PT).

BIG BROTHER follows a group of people living together in a house outfitted with more than 52 cameras and 95 microphones recording their every move 24 hours a day.  Each week, the Houseguests will vote someone out of the house.  At the end, the last remaining Houseguest will receive the grand prize of $500,000.

BIG BROTHER is executive produced by Emmy Award-winning producer Allison Grodner and Rich Meehan for Fly on the Wall Entertainment, in association with Endemol U.S.A.
