ABC RED CARPET PRE-SHOWS FOR “THE 2011 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS®” FEATURE PERFORMANCES BY HOT CHELLE RAE AND TAIO CRUZ

dick clark productions (dcp) president Orly Adelson has announced that dcp will produce two red carpet shows for “The 2011 American Music Awards.” They will precede the live broadcast of the “AMAs” at the NOKIA Theatre L.A. LIVE, which airs November 20 (8:00-11:00 p.m., ET/PT) on ABC.

ABC will air the one-hour red carpet pre-show, “Countdown to The American Music Awards,” hosted by TV personalities Vanessa Lachey (Winter “Wipeout”) and Chris Harrison (“The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette”), from 7:00-8:00 p.m., ET/PT. Ryan Devlin (“Cougar Town”) will report live from the red carpet, and Hot Chelle Rae will perform their hit songs “Tonight Tonight” and “I Like It Like That.”

The ABC red carpet pre-show will be complemented by the live online pre-show, “Coca-Cola Red Carpet Live! @ the 2011 AMAs,” which will feature three hours of live red carpet coverage beginning at 2:00 p.m., PT / 5:00 p.m., ET. Coca-Cola will present the performance of Taio Cruz and Christina Grimmie singing a special rendition of “Higher.” There will also be acoustic performances by Metro Station and Mariana’s Trench. The red carpet live stream will feature hosts Lance Bass, Michael Buckley, Estelle, Sarah Hyland, Mario, Audrina Patridge and Josh Sussman, and will be available on ABC.com, Livestream.com, YouTube.com, MySpace.com and through participating media and talent websites and Facebook Fan Pages.
