A YOGI’S PUPIL ASSUMES A VIOLENT POSITION IN AN ALL NEW “SNAPPED” ON OXYGEN, SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 4 AT 9PM ET/PT

All New Episode Depicts Amber Trudell of Tucson, AZ

NEW YORK—AUGUST 30, 2011 – An unlikely attraction turns deadly in an all new episode of Oxygen’s “Snapped,” premiering on Sunday, September 4 at 9PM ET/PT. Each chilling installment of “Snapped” offers gritty details, interviews and a deeper look into the minds of the women who snapped.

Flamboyant, friendly yoga instructor Michael Dojaquez and his conservative student Amber Trudell were an unlikely pair. In the blink of an eye, their relationship transforms from strictly platonic to a heated romance. Their blissful affair soon turns sour as Amber adamantly attempts to calm Michael’s free spirit and convince him to marry for a second time. After a night on the town with friends erupts in a heated dispute, Amber offers Michael an ultimatum: marry me or face the consequences. When a neighbor discovers Michael’s dead body outside of Michael’s home, the police suspect that his death is the result of a burglary gone wrong. However, after Amber suddenly disappears and someone from her past emerges, she quickly turns from shy pupil to unstable murder suspect.

“Snapped” features everyday seemingly average moms, wives and girlfriends who are accused of committing murder. Did they really do it? And if so, why? Was it a cheating spouse, years of constant abuse or that dirty dish in the sink? Whatever the situation, the women share a common bond–they all allegedly SNAPPED!
