31 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN ON SYFY SOARS 14% AMONG ADULTS 18-34 AND 21% IN WOMEN 18-34

NEW YORK – November 1, 2011 – Led by the fourth annual 31 Days of Halloween fright fest, Syfy continued its growth among younger demos, leaping 14% among Adults 18-34, 21% in Women 18-34 and 8% among Men 18-34 during October prime (8-11PM), compared to October ’10.

On Saturday, October 29, Zombie Apocalypse became the highest performing Saturday Original Movie of the year in the key demos, earning the best deliveries among Adults 18-49 (890,000) since Lake Placid 3 (8/21/10) and in Adults 25-54 (949,000) since Red: Werewolf Hunter (10/30/10). The movie also consumed 2.1 million total viewers, while averaging a 1.5 household rating.

Capping off 31 Days of Halloween was the October 31 Ghost Hunters Halloween Live telecast, hosted by Josh Gates (Destination Truth). This year, Jason, Grant and team members from both Ghost Hunters and Ghost Hunters International went to Pennhurst Asylum in Pennsylvania, a former state mental institution.

From 7PM-1AM, Ghost Hunters Halloween Live grew compared to 2010’s event, scaring up 1.4 million total viewers (+16%), 364,000 Adults 18-34 (+23%), 788,000 Adults 18-49 (+8%) and 786,000 Adults 25-54 (+1%).

As the night neared the end (11PM-1AM), the telecast leaped +80% in Adults18-34 to 307,000 viewers, +53% in Adults18-49 (623,000), +29% in Adults 25-54 (603,000) and +43% in total viewers (984,000).

2011 marked the best year ever for Ghost Hunters Live in page views and its best year in video streams since 2009.
On Halloween, Ghost Hunters Live was the #1 section of the site in all key metrics with 34.0 million page views (96% of total traffic), 275K uniques and 250K visits.
Between the 4 cameras on the site, there were a total of 3.9 million streams to Ghost Hunters Live.
