2012 REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE JON HUNTSMAN JAMS ON PIANO WITH PAUL SHAFFER AND THE CBS ORCHESTRA WHEN HE MAKES HIS FIRST VISIT TO CBS’ “LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN” TONIGHT

Tonight, 2012 Republican Presidential candidate Jon Huntsman gives a taste of his piano prowess when he jams with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra during his first visit to CBS’ LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, Wednesday, Dec. 21.

During the interview, Letterman said, “I have here a rather incriminating photo. Good heavens, what is going on here?” and showed a black-and-white photo of a younger, long-haired Huntsman with what looks to be a rock band. “This is you in a rock-and-roll band called Wizard,” Letterman said. “…You were in high school?” “I was in high school,” Huntsman said. “I thought I could make it big. I wanted to be Paul Shaffer. And, you know, so if I’d made it as a musician, Dave, I wouldn’t be sitting here with you today. I’d be playing with the guys.”

Later in the interview, Letterman asked Huntsman, “Now, can you play for us here? I don’t want to put you on the spot, but is it possible for you to run over there and do a little something at the organ with Paul?” “Yeah, come on,” encouraged Paul Shaffer. “What do you think?” Huntsman asked, to audience applause. “I’d love to hear it,” Letterman said, and Huntsman crossed over to Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra to loud audience applause, sat down at the piano and joined the band in playing Chuck Berry’s “Johnny B. Goode.” Huntsman’s entire interview can be seen on the LATE SHOW tonight (11:35 PM-12:37 AM, ET/PT on the CBS Television Network.

Also featured on the LATE SHOW tonight is a holiday toy demonstration with toy expert Shannon Eis and a performance by musical guest J. Cole.
